Sunny Beach resort is situated on the southern Black Sea coast and 75 miles south from Varna Airport and about 20 miles from Bourgas Airport. Sunny Beaches the largest resort in Bulgaria with the longest and widest beach, with hotels spread along it and among the sand dunes. This fine beach resort has been awarded the prestigious Blue Flag for the cleanliness of its beaches.
There are direct international flights from most UK airports available to Sofia all year round, with a number of airlines and direct charter flights to the Black Sea (Burgas and Varna) which are available during the spring and summer months. With the interest that has been shown in Bulgaria over the last couple of years, low cost airlines are expected to introduce regular scheduled flights there in the near future. Charter flights operate to Plovdiv (winter), Varna and Bourgas (summer) during the season. Hemus Air operates flights to Varna and Bourgas throughout the whole year.
By Train
There are no direct rail services between Bulgaria and Western Europe; however, there are daily services to Belgrade, Bucharest and Budapest, Istanbul and Thessalonika. First class travel is strongly advised.
By Bus
If you want to reach Bulgaria from Western Europe by car, you either can take a ferry from Italy to Greece, or you will have to pass through either Serbia (make sure you took a green card from your national insurance company) or Romania.
