Australia occupies the entire of the island continent of the same name and the territory between the Indian and Pacific Oceans. The country's land mass is half as big as that of Europe, most of Australia is unfilled. The population is centred primarily in the South Eastern coastal cities of Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Adelaide while the core of the country the Outback is comprised of lightly populated semi-desert and tropical wetlands.
