MalaysiaPolitical back ground of Malaysia including current Malaysia politics is focused on the federal parliamentary monarchy. Malaysia political system is based on the multiparty rules. Prime minister is described as the head of the government. Government of Malaysia along with the head of the government is able to use all executive powers available in the laws and regulations to caring out all the day to day managements. Legislative powers are within the combined control of government and two chambers of the governments. These two chambers of governments are called the senate and House of Representatives. In Malaysia, Senate is commonly called Dewan Negara and House of Representatives is known as Dewan Rakyat. There is not any post related to present seat in the government of Malaysia. Therefore Malaysia presidential elections never held in the country.
 

Country of Malaysia got independence from United Kingdom on 31 August 1957. The country became a federation on 16 September 1963. Since then the politics of Malaysia is dominated by the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO). Politics in the country seems stable. Some critics say that some forces within the government and administration have a tendency to undermine the neutrality of the government. These forces are also working on their agenda.

Malaysian Politics
United Malays National Organisation (UMNO) are said to be predominant party in the political scenario of the country since independence. This party usually make collation with other major political parties of Malaysia. The other major party of the country is Barisan Nasional (National Front) coalition. The party of Barisan Nasional is consists of 13 other minor Malaysian political parties. Many Malaysia political issues including some religious issues are resolved in the grand coalition. Malaysia is considered as a Muslim state. On the other hand many non-Malay communities are in search of equal rights within the constitution of the Malaysia country. Currently constitution of Malaysia is not able to give equal rights to these non-Malay communities. 
 
Malaysian politics is filled with many important politicians in which most important Malaysia politician is Mahathir bin Mohamad. Mr Mahathir bin Mohamad was fourth prime minister of the country. He held in power for almost 22 years. The duration of his carrier starts from 1982 and lasts up to 2003.
