Panama » Politics History of Panama witnessed the four sequential elected civilian governments. Panama as a Central American nation has made extraordinary political and financial improvement. But there is a great difference between the rich and poor. The United States has close relations with Panama. This connection was arisen when the Panama Canal was under United States command. At that time major United States military facilities was hosted by Panama.
