Switzerland International Property Brokers forecast that Economic indicators in current months have remained favorable, pointing to a slight upward trend. So we are expecting GDP growth of 2.0% in 2006 and 1.8% in 2007.

Tensions between the four main parties have increased since the last election in 2003, there is little chance of the combination government breaking up during the current parliamentary period, which lasts until 2007. On April 27th 2006 Joseph Deiss, a federal councillor and one of the seven members of the cabinet, announced his resolution to step down. He now seems set to be replaced by Doris Leuthard, who, like Mr Deiss, is from the Christian Democratic Party (CVP).
